I was very lucky to have been invited to the launch event for Sand Sculpting Australia, which this year relocated from the Frankston foreshore to Boneo Maze on the Mornington Peninsula.
The theme this year is Peter Pan.
This is the first year we have visited the Sand Sculpting exhibition and I have to say the sculptures are absolutely amazing. The detail in them honestly took my breath away.
Tinkerbell is hiding in each of the twelve sculptures and Milla loved the challenge of trying to find her before moving on to the next one.
Part of the exhibition includes an activity zone where kids can get in on the action and create their own sand sculptures. They can also make sand art pictures and get their faces painted.
One of the best things about the new location is that most of the other activities at Bono Maze are included in the ticket price. 27 acres of wetland and gardens to explore with giant games, mazes and a jumping castle. For an additional charge there are other activities including mini golf, a carousel and paddle boats.
There are plenty of lovely spots to set up with a picnic lunch including tables and chairs plus a cafe if you’re after hot food or a cheeky wine. I feel like you could get several hours of entertainment out of the whole experience which makes it pretty good value for money in my eyes.
